LeBron achieves NBA season-high
MIAMI: The NBA superstar, LeBron James of Miami Heat, achieved a feat he is so fond of once again here on Friday when he scored over 50 points in the game against Orlando to help his side defeat their arch-rivals.
This is the eighth time in LeBron’s eight-year career when he has scored 50 or more points in a single NBA game.
LeBron James, who has already won the NBA most valuable player award twice, looked in great touch right from the start as he scored 23 out of his team’s 30 points in the first quarter of the match played in central Florida. That wasn’t enough as the great basketball player also had 11 rebounds and eight assists to further glorify his efforts.
Earlier, the season’s top scoring record of 47 points in a single game was held by both Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunder and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers, but LeBron James showed his best was yet to come.
With this victory, Miami Heat have now won four games on the trot while on the other hand Orlando have lost four out of their last six games. Interestingly enough, Miami have defeated Orlando i
n two out of their three games in the 2010-11 season while their next meeting is scheduled on March 3.
Win on Thursday has also taken Miami Heat just two-and-a-half games of the leaders in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics with just two weeks into the mid season.
