NBA 2012 | Christmas Day Schedule

NEW YORK: The National Basketball Association (NBA) 2011-12 season is commencing today with five matches involving 10 of the 30 teams as a special Christmas present for the world NBA fans.

In the first match at Madison Square Garden in New York, the New York Knicks are hosting Boston Celtics in the opening game of the fresh NBA season. The game will start at 12:00pm ET (05:00am GMT).

In the second game of the momentous day due to be played at American Airlines Center in Dallas, the reigning champions and runners-up will relive their NBA 2011 Finals moments as the Miami Heat from Southeast Division and the Dallas Mavericks from the Southwest Division will add more fuel to their NBA rivalry. The game is scheduled to start at 02:30pm ET (07:30am GMT).

In the third game of the day, the Chicago Bulls from the Central Division will battle it out against Los Angeles Lakers from the Pacific Division will kick off their NBA campaign at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The game would be a great and interesting one especially for the LA Lakers who have had a poor and bizarre pre-season. The game will start at 05:00pm ET (10:00am GMT).

The Orlando Magic of the Southeast Division and the Oklahoma City Thunder of the Northwest Division will take on each other in the fourth game of the day to be played at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The game will start at 08:00pm ET (01:00am GMT).

In the final game of the opening day, the Los Angeles Clippers of the Pacific Division will be pitted against the Golden State Warriors of the Pacific Division. The game which is scheduled to be staged at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, will start at 10:30pm ET (03:30am GMT).

    Can’t wait for this season to start! Although by this time I’m used to watching competative games and this will be like like watching glorified preseason…but hey I’ll take it.
