British Wood to take over American Woods
LONDON: Tiger woods after recovering from a controversy that really shook his basis has to now face another problem in the face of British Wood, Lee Westwood, who would take over the American Woods and secure the Number 1 position at the end of the Andalucia Masters.
The 281-week reign of Tiger Woods came to an end at the end of Andalucia Masters at Valderrama when German golfer Kaymer finished with a closing 75 for a seven-over-par tally of 291.
Contended, satisfied and feeling at the top of the world, the 37-year old British Wood while commenting said, “To be able to think while sitting and relaxing that you’re the best and there is no body better than you is definitely the most relaxing moment adding that when you’re growing and people ask what you want to achieve and you just say to be the best in the world and now I am the best in the planet”.
Lee before the start of the next week’s WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, while enjoying the finest moment of his life especially off the golf course, said that he has to keep an eye on the American Tiger Woods who will certainly come to gnaw him at the tourney in Shanghai.
The Englishman will have to keep a close eye on Woods and was expecting the American to come right back at him in China.
Respecting the former number 1 and explaining the kind of relationship that exists between the two ace golfers British Wood said, “This is what exists between us I give him a bit of stick he returns it back adding that we have always got on well and definitely have great mutual respect for each other”.
