LONDON: Despite of winning their warm-up match against Somerset, Thursday came with a couple of bad news for Pakistan cricket team as injuries hit two of the most important players in the camp.

Pakistan’s hard-hitting middle order batsman Umar Akmal was hit on his face by a rising delivery during net practice here Thursday and therefore he didn’t play in the warm-up match.
Veteran all-rounder, Abdul Razzaq, also received an injury during the warm-up match and decided against bowling in the whole Somerset innings.

The Pakistan camp is hopeful that both important players would be fit before the first Twenty20 International at Cardiff on September 5, 2010.
Umar Akmal was seen bleeding after he was hit by a bouncer during the nets but sources in the Pakistani camp told this scribe that he would be fit for the T20 series against England.
