Kangna Ranaut defies cricket-loving Nation India

NEW DELHI: The gentlemen’s game cricket has always found a special love in the sub-continent where the British army officials used to play it during their Colonial Rule but not all of the South Asians love watching this sport.

Especially in a country like India where roads get empty when there is a live game of cricket is being televised, you would seldom find someone who doesn’t like or watch the game of cricket.

Fortunately or unfortunately, we have found one. And this is not a mere Indian citizen but the one who has millions of fans across the world.

The Bollywood diva Kangna Ranaut has never watched cricket, but this is in a phase of change these days.

One of the top Indian film actresses is in United Arab Emirates as Brand Ambassador of Salman Khan’s Mumbai Warriors during the Celebrity League.

A person who doesn’t know much about the game is acting as a brand ambassador? Well it is a question which only person could answer and Kangna Ranaut told UAE media the other day that she is really excited about the event as this is the first time she is associated with a cricket-related event. “It is the first time for me. But I am really excited and it is great to be able to promote and support a game like cricket”, she stated.

Kangna was honest enough to admit that she doesn’t follow cricket at all. “In fact, my brother watches cricket as well as soccer but after being part of such a tournament I believe I will have to learn the game a lot more than I do now”, she added in a funky tone.

There were rumors in the Bollywood that Salman Khan was the main reason behind Kangna’s inclusion in the team of Mumbai Warriors as Brand Ambassador.

When asked, Kangna Ranaut said, “I have known him for a long time. Sohail Khan also is a great friend of mine and he was very keen on having me on board. I am quite thrilled in my new role”.
