Salahuddin Sallu to unveil his autobiography today
KARACHI: Pakistan’s former Test cricket and ex-chief selector at the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mr. Salauddin Ahmed Sallu will release his autobiography named “Sallu” here Tuesday (today).
The autobiography will be launched at a local hotel at 3:00 p.m. (Pakistan Standard Time) where legendary sportsmen including former cricketers and players from other sports would also deliver speeches.
The legendary sportsmen who would grace the moment include former world squash champion Jahangir Khan, former cricket captains Hanif Muhammad, Moin Khan, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Anwar, ex-Chairman PCB Khalid Mahmood, Dr. Zafar Altaf, as well as former PCB chief executive and ex-president Pakistan Hockey Federation Arif Ali Khan Abbasi while former captain Islahuddin Siddiqui, Olympian Hasan Sardar and Hanif Khan will represent hockey players.
Leading stock broker Aqeel Karim Dhedhi will also grace the event and will express his tributes for the former Test cricket while television anchor Kamran Khan, Member PCB Governing Board Vazir Ali Khoja, ex-KCCA President Munir Hussain and others will also present on the occasion.
Renowned actor and television anchor Anwar Maqsood will host the ceremony.
Salahuddin Ahmed, while talking to The Sports Encounter, said that his memoirs include 408 pages which cover several off and on the field incidents during his Test career.
