Scotland Yard recover 150k pounds from Pak cricketers
LONDON: The Scotland Yard has raided private rooms of the Pakistani cricket team and recover 150,000 pounds from their possession, the British claimed early on Sunday.
A match-fixer, Mazhar Majeed, had earlier revealed that seven of the Pakistani eleven playing at Lord’s were involved in fixing the match. Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamir bolwed three No Balls for which they were paid by the undercover reporter.
As per the latest details, the Scotland Yard have recovered 150,000 pounds from Pakistan cricketers and seized their laptops, mobile phones, and documents.
They are still interrogating the Pakistani players.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s High Commissioner, Wajid Shams-ul-Hasan, has contacted the Scotland Yard and team manger Yawar Saeed has said that the Police is investigating the matter and he is also answering their questions.
