The South African golfer, who also won this month’s WGC-CA Championship, was at three-under 69 to finish the day on 10-under 206, while Curtis (70), who has not put even single bogey in the 31 holes, finally came up with it in the 16th and 17th round to lose the lead.

Following on third was Chris Couch (69) of the US, who was just three shots behind Els.
