Inaugural National U16 Hockey Championship starts from 11th
PESHAWAR: A total of 13 Under-16 hockey teams will put on display their talent in the inaugural National U16 Hockey Championship due to start from October 11 at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium in Peshawar.
Three teams from Punjab, two each from Sindh and KPK and one apiece from Balochistan, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK will feature in the competition ending on October 22.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association on behalf of Pakistan Hockey Federation is hosting the junior championship which aims at scouting new talent.
Following will officiate in the event, Tournament Director: Rana Muhammad Liaqat (Attock), Tournament officers: Ansar Jora, Hassan Akhtar, Hassan Askari and Arif Hayat. Judges: Haroon Saeed, Allah Dad, Zaheer-ul-Haq, Zulfiqar Bhutto, Mirza Javaid and Dr S A Majid. (Local Judges can be appointed by the Organisers).
Umpires manager is Faiz Muhammad Faizi. Assistant umpires manager is Dilawar Hussain Bhatti. Umpires: Mubarik Ali, Anwaar Hussain, Muhammad Asghar, Pervaiz Akhtar, Muhammad Mushtaq, Rana Muhammad Liaqat, Rana Muhammad Sajid, Ghufran, Amir Hamza and Kamran Hussain.
Syed Muhammad Zahir Shah, Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwah Hockey Association, is the organising Secretary of the event.
