PHF names squad for Australia tour

ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Selection Committee of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Hanif Khan, after approval of President PHF, announced 19 members squad for the national hockey team.

The announcement was made after the trials which were held at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium on Monday in a bid to select the final lineup of the Pakistan hockey team.

The selected squad will take part in 4-Nation Hockey Tournament and International Super Hockey Series to be held at Perth in Australia from 20th Oct to 4th Nov 2011.

PLAYERS:

GOALKEEPER: Imran Shah.  FULL BACKS: Muhamamd Imran, Sohail Abbas & Muhammad Irfan Senior HALF BACKS: Syed Kashif Shah, Muhammad Rizwan Junior, Muhammad Tousiq, Waseem Ahmed, Rashid Mehmood & Fareed Ahmed. FORWARDS: Abdul Haseem Khan, Shakeel Abbasi (Capt), Shafqat Rasool, Muhammad Waqas, Muhammad Rizwan Senior, Ali Shan, Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Umar Bhutta and Muhammad Irfan Junior.

TEAM OFFICIALS:

Khawaja Muhammad Junaid (Team Manager), Heuvel van dan Michel (Head Coach), Shahid Ali Khan & Ajmal Khan Lodhi (Coaches), Faiz-ur-Rehman (Physiotherapist), Nadeem Khan Lodhi (Video-Analyst).
