India outclassed Pakistan in Kabaddi World Cup Final
LUDHIANA: Yet another defeat for Pakistan in finals of international events against arch rivals India as India convincingly beat Pakistan by heavy margin of 58-24 in final of Kabaddi World Cup 2010.
Indian players were on top of their game and they never allowed Pakistan to gain any rhythm and momentum. The big final of Kabaddi World Cup was played at jam-packed floodlight Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana. Champions India was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 crore while runner-up Pakistan was given a cash prize of Rs. 51 lakh. Indian captain Mangat Singh Mangi was declared Best Stopper while Canadian Kuljit Singh Malsihan was named Best Raider. Both were given a tractor each for their achievements. The final was also attended by various senior leaders of Punjab government.
Earlier in the day, Canada outplayed Italy in third position match by 66-22 and grabbed the third spot in the tournament. Canada entitled Rs. 25 lakh and Italy was given Rs. 10 lakh for attaining fourth position. There were total nine international teams take parts in the tournament including Pakistan, America, England, Canada, Italy, Iran and Australia. This tournament also got success on television as TRPs of Kabaddi World Cup has left behind the IPL in Northern India.
