India to host three Squash World Cups

NEW DELHI: World Squash Federation (WSF) has awarded hosting rights of three World Cups of Squash to India in order to promote game in the country.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The decision was taken by the World Squash Federation in its executive board meeting on Monday. Spearheaded by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), the biennial event will be held in Chennai in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

 

 

Sixteen national teams featuring top players from all over the world will compete, with two men and one woman being the format. The first event will be played from March 8-12 in Chennai and it is named as SDAT WSF World Cup.
