Maldives Challenge: Rizwan, Kashif win Doubles Title

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Rizwan Azam and Kashif Sulehri have won the doubles title at Maldives Challenge International Badminton Tournament here Saturday.

Sources told The Sports Encounter that Pakistani duo defeated Karunaratne Dinuka and Karunaratne Niluka of Sri Lanka in the final with a score of 17-21, 21-14 and 21-14 to claim the title.

This is a remarkable performance by the Pakistani players as Sri Lankan pair enjoyed good world ranking and had the privilege of participating in many of the world ranking tournaments.

Mr. Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri, Secretary Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) and S. Naqi Mohsin Senior Vice President PBF have congratulated the players on their excellent performance and a function will be arranged upon their return.
