Memorable victory for Tomizawa in Qatar

LOSAIL, Qatar: Japan’s Shoya Tomizawa recorded historic victory in Qatar Grand Prix Moto2 on Sunday.

Tomizawa struggled in his previous two appearances as he finished 25th and then 17th in the last two season, was riding on the Suter MMX chasis for the Technomag-CIP squad. 19 years old Tomizawa, whose best GP finish was 10th before this race in the 250cc race at Valencia in 2009, produced a stunning display to won the first ever 600cc four-stoke clash under the Losail International Circuit floodlights.

Tomizawa faced tough fight from Elias, Alex Debon and Yuki Takahashi. Tomizawa started to take lead in lap ten and he ended the race with the lead of 4.656 seconds clear of experienced Debon.
