Pakistan batter Afghanistan in Asia Baseball Cup

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani baseball players continued their good run in the 9^th Asian Baseball Championship here Thursday when they mauled Afghanistan by 11-4 at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex.

Pakistan’s Imtiaz, Sumair Zawar and Zubair played central part in the triumph as Imtiaz scored one run and a home run, Sumair scored two runs, while Zubair hit 1 home run.

For Afghanistan, Alam, Mumtaz, Ayub and Irfan scored 1 runs each, but they failed to give an in-form Pakistani outfit hard time.
