Pakistan clinch Asia Baseball Cup title

 ISLAMABAD: Pakistan beat Hong Kong in final of Asia Baseball Cup by 10-0 played at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad on Monday.

 

 

 

By winning the title, Pakistan also qualify for the Seniors World Cup to be played next year at Philippine. Mohammad Farooq and Asif Gujjar were stars for Pakistan as both scored two runs each while Zaheer, Iftikhar, Zubair, Sameer and Usman scored one run each.

 

 

Mohammad Farooq of Pakistan was declared the best player of the tournament while Usman awarded the best pitcher of the tournament. There were total four teams participated in the event including host Pakistan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Afghanistan. The tournament was played on single league basis and Pakistan was remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.
