Pakistan beat Nepal in International Handball Federation Challenge Trophy

DHAKA: Pakistan started off its campaign in International Handball Federation Challenge Trophy on a winning-note as they beat Nepal convincingly by 49-14 at Shahid Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur.

Mubeen Ashraf and Habib-ur-Rehman scored nine goals each while Zubair scored eight goals for Pakistan. Bipin Bista scored six goals for Himalayan state. Pakistan will now face arch rivals India on 8th April.

In other match host Bangladesh earned comfortable victory against Afghanistan by 46-20. Imadul Haq scored 14 goals for the hosts.

India will play against Nepal while Afghanistan will take on Yemen today.
