Pakistan win Squash Silver at Asiad

GUANGZHOU: Pakistan won the second silver medal in the 16th Asian Games 2010 as Aamir Atlas lost the final of the squash event to Malaysian player Azlan Iskandar.

It was a one-sided final as Azlan Iskandar was on top of his game. Atlas, who defeated Malaysian squash star Ong Beng Hee, in the semi final by 3-1, was struggling in the final as failed to find his form and rhythm.

Azlan defeated Indian squash star in the semi final and won the final in straight sets by 3-0. The final score was 11-6, 11-7 and 11-6.

Two Pakistani players were participating in the squash event of the 16th Asian Games. Farhan Mehboob was defeated by compatriot Aamir Atlas in the quarter final.
