PKF plan to hold Asian Championship
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) plan to organize Asian Championship in September this year.
This was stated by the PKF official in Islamabad. “Pakistan will be holding the event in September in the federal capital and it’s very important for the country as well.”
Currently Pakistan Kabaddi Federation seeking NOC from Govt and after getting NOC they will start the preparations. “After the NOC, we will go for it,” he said.
“We have in front of us the successful conduction of the Asian Baseball Cup which concluded in Islamabad and I hope that no foreign team would refuse sending its Kabaddi team to Pakistan,” he said.
PKF is confident that security situation in Pakistan has improved in last few months and teams will not be reluctant to visit Pakistan. PKF will invite 12 countries for the Asian Championship including arch rivals India.
PKF also planning to launch academies in major cities of Pakistan to groom young talent at grass root level. “The federation would assemble talent camps at Lahore, Chichawatni and Faisalabad to stalk the flair from poorer level and will employ the services of talented coaches for the training camp at regional level. At peak national former Kabaddi players have been chosen for this job, “he said.
