Rangers make it to World Series

ARLINGTON: The Texas Rangers defeated the New York Yankees by 6-1 on Friday to not only with the American League Championship Series but also stormed into the World Series for the first time in their history that spans over 50 years.

With the victory in the sixth game of the Best-of-Seven Series, the Rangers took the series by 4-2 and now they await the winner of the National League Championship Series.

San Francisco Giants are leading the series by 3-2 against the Philadelphia Phillies; the winner of the series would face off with the Rangers.
