ISLAMABAD: The 6th National Tenpin Bowling Championship 2011 was started yesterday at Megazone Bowling Club where Rashid Ali of Sindh was leading the 1st round of Master Singles with average score of 197.8.
The local politician and Member of National Assembly Hanif Abbasi, was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony said, “I have a special place for sports in my heart and that is why I’m working with all might to promote sports activities in Rawalpindi.”
The Vice President of Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation (PTBF) Aleem Agha was also present in the inaugural ceremony and said, ’’ the purpose of this championship is to make this game popular among the youngsters, so that they participate at international level and bring laurels to the country.”
The local boys were dominated the 1st round as Aftab was on second place with an average score of 186.4 while Zafar Iqbal and Malik were on the third spot with 183.8 points each.
