Singapore end 19 years reign of China women

MOSCOW: Chinese women failed to hold their supremacy in the ongoing World Team Table Tennis Championships in the Russian capital Monday as they lost to Singapore, thus ending their 19-year-old reign on the world of table tennis.

Singaporean players got the better of the Chinese trio of Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen and Guo Yan and defeated them by 3-1 in the final in Moscow as the Southeast Asian city-state claimed their first title in the event.
