Indian National Billiards, Snooker Championship starts today

NEW DELHI: The Manisha National Billiards and Snooker Championship with prize money worth Indian rupees five lakh will swing into action in Pune from January 12 (today).

The championship which will conclude on March 4 at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana has all the top ranked Indian cueists including Geet Sethi and Pankaj Advani.

Apart from the Sethi and Advani, other Indian top snooker and billiard players including Dhruv Sitwala, Alok Kumar, Kamal Chawla, Devendra Joshi, Sundeep Gulati, Rafath Habib, Sourav Kothari, Rupesh Shah, Siddharth Parekh, Manan Chandra, and Ashok Shandilya will also featured in the 23-day event.

According to media department of the Billiards & Snooker Federation of India, as many as over a thousand snooker and billiard players from all across the 24 states of India will take part in the Championship being held under the aegis of the Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra.
