National Snooker Championship enters QF stage

KARACHI: Muhammad Sajjad, Imran Qamar, and Sohail Shahzad stormed into the quarter finals of the 35th NJI National Snooker Championship at Karachi Gymkhana Billiards Halls here Friday.

Pakistan No1, Muhammad Sajjad of Punjab defeated Raees Khan by 5-1; Imran Qamar of Punjab came from behind to overwhelm Muhammad Asif by 5-2; and Sohail Shahzad of Sindh never faced a challenge against Umair Alam of Karachi by 5-0.

Khurram Agha will face Muhammad Jawed in today’s quarter finals, while in other matches, Asjad Iqbal will take on Shahram Changezi, Muhammad Sajjad is set against Imran Qamar and Sohail Shahzad will have to wait for the winner of the last pre-quarter final betweek Akmal and Rambail Gul.
