Manchester City were dented as early as fifth minute when defender Dedryck Boyata was shown Red Card for a last-man severe foul on Marouane Chamakh.
They were never in the contention following the event as Samir Nasri, Alex Song and Nicklas Bendtner scored one goal each to stun the home crowd at Eastlands.
With this victory, Arsenal have now joined Manchester City on second position at 17 points after nine matches while Chelsea still lead the EPL table with 22 points after defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers by two goals to nil on Saturday.

Manchester United also clawed their way back in the top three of the English Premier League on Sunday when Javier Hernandez scored a goal with just four minutes remaining in the final whistle which gave the Red Devils their first away victory of the current season. Manchester United now also have 17 points from nine matches as they joined Arsenal and Manchester City on the second position.

In another game of the weekend action, Liverpool scored their second victory of the current season as they edged past Blackburn Rovers by two goals to one at Anfield thanks mainly to Fernando Torres and Sotirios Kyrgiakos who scored two goals after Jamie Carragher put one in his own goal. After playing nine games in the 2010-11 season of the EPL, Liverpool find themselves in a miserable 18th position with just two wins and a total of only nine points.
