KUFL 2012: Burma Mohd hold Baloch Youth for a goalless draw
KARACHI: The 9th UBL Omni Karachi United Football League 2011-12 saw a pulsating draw between Baloch Youth FC (Garden) and Burma Mohammadan (Malir) on Wednesday at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi.
Burma Mohammadan are second in Group ‘B’ with 10 points from four games while Baloch Youth have the identical tally to stay top of the group.
Despite 90 minutes of action, both sides failed to score in this Group ‘B’ clash as it finished 0-0 at the end. Burma Mohammadan strikers M Rais, M Imran, Saifullah, and M Ishaq played superbly but failed to find the net. Likewise for Baloch Youth as Sarmad Jaffar, Talal Ayub, Salam-ud-Din also came close but couldnt get past Burma goalkeeper Abdul Ghani. During the half time break, both teams met Burma Mohammadan’s new chairman Hameed Hussain as chief guest alongside KUFL organising secretary Riaz Ahmed.
Both sides gained 1 point each at the end to take their points tallies to 10 from 4 games each. However, Baloch Youth maintained top spot in Group ‘B’ courtesy of their better goal difference while Burma Mohammadan were 2nd in the table. Referees were Ansar Javed, Shaukat Ali, Babar Khan, and match commissioner Abdul Karim.
