Manchester United, City in race for Ganso

LONDON: Manchester United and Manchester City are in fight to sign young Brazilian striker Ganso.

The 20-year-old is currently playing for Brazilian club Santos and was a star performer for them in the last season. Ganso has excellent technique of using his body to retain possession and is very sharp in creating chances and going forward.

Paulo Henrique Ganso has a contract with Santos till 2014. Manchester City initially refused the deal of Ganso in January but as their first refusal option will expire on August 4, there is possibility that City will go for Ganso.

On the other hand, Sir Alex Ferguson is very keen to bring another Brazilian to Old Trafford after Da Silva brothers and Rodrigo Possebon. Manchester United has already contacted Santos for signing of the young Brazilian star.
