No winner in Manchester derby, Chelsea extend gap
LONDON: Barclay’s English Premier League (EPL) is on fire and Chelsea fans are on their feet as the West London Club gained a handsome lead over Manchester United by earning 4 precious points making it the top scorer and for the time being the proud winner of the League.
In the recent matches played the results were pretty close to expectations. The Manchester fight between City and United resulted in a draw, 0-0 which caused the 18-time Alex Ferguson led champions to remain at the second spot giving way to the present board leader and current League champion Chelsea.
Chelsea on the other hand taking the advantage of the draw beat Fulham by 1-0 and secured the 4 points needed to bring United, their bitter rivals to second seat of the Leader board.
Manchester city, denoted as ‘noisy neighbours’ by the all-time genius Sir Alex Ferguson tried its level best to score against United but efforts went in vain. The whole match was covered with a heat of tension and stress with City following their manager Roberto Mancini’s trademark defensive strategy which is difficult to be broken.

Alex admitted that credit goes to them on putting forth effective defenses which resulted in giving them only 2 chances to strike on the goal adding that these should not be taken as an excuse since we have to face competition and now because of that draw we are 4 points behind Chelsea.
It should be noted that United’s track record in this season is superb as it is the only club that hasn’t lost a match up till now and it is this fact that has made Ferguson a bit conscious since the draw in the 34th encounter with City made him lose 2 crucial points.
Champions Chelsea, now leaders of the League, earned their 4 points, thanks to Essien’s first-half goal that proved enough to beat Fulham, currently at 15th position on the board with 13 points from their 12 matches.
