Own-goal shocks Chelsea vs Wolves

MOLINEUX: English Premier League (EPL) defending champions Chelsea were stunned on Wednesday when an own goal of Jose Bosingwa in only fifth minute of the match proved to be the decisive blow as they lost the important EPL encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers by 1-0.

Chelsea poor run continued in the EPL as they now won only two matches from their last 11 encounters and they stood fifth in the points table with nine points behind from the chart leader Manchester United.

Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou missed a golden opportunity to equalize in the second half when he failed to convert a clever pass of Lampard. Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti was frustrated with his team defeat and said “the most difficult thing for us was we conceded the goal after five minutes. It wasn’t the right way to start the game, we wanted to start the game differently, but we conceded a goal from a little detail, I think we could have done better, and after that the game was very difficult.”
