Premier League: Henry back in Arsenal for two months
LONDON: The most successful player of Gunners Thierry Henry is expected to return to Emirates on two-month loan deal if Arsenal shows their willingness to insurance deal with his current club i.e. New York Red Bulls.
The Arsenal legend Henry Arsenal’s all-time top goalscorer and his 174 Premier League goals put him third on the all-time list. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is happy with the deal and said that the deal would suit the 34-year-old French striker who will gain the match fitness before the start of the fresh season of Major League Soccer in USA in March.
“It was my idea. He was happy about it, but it was my idea. We are doing it because Gervinho and Chamakh go to the African Nations Cup and to cover for two months is ideal. He is still class and has quality. He still has pace. It can only be positive, because he has exceptional talent,” said Wenger.
“He is experienced, he is quality, and can help the players on and off the pitch. It shows that Arsenal is always special to players, such as Sol Campbell, Jens Lehmann and now Thierry,” he added.
