Red Devils rout MLS by 5-2
HOUSTON: The English Premier League giants, Manchester United, continued to show their prowess on their North American tour on late Wednesday when they defeated the Major League Soccer All Stars by a huge margin of five goals to two.

It was a thorough display of soccer by the Red Devils weeks ahead of the fresh season of the EPL as Italian striker Federico Macheda scored twice while Mexican Javier Hernandez made his presence felt with a goal on his debut for the English soccer club.
The Red Devils started the rout within the first minute with a 24-second goal by the Italian striker, taking full advantage of a lethargic pass by MLS defender Kevin Alston.

A crowd of 70,728 didn’t have to wait for too long as a Nani kick was headed into the net by the Italian only in the 12th minute as Manchester United went 2-0 up in no time.
Brian Ching pulled one back for the hosts but it never proved enough to lift the home side as Red Devils looked probing during the whole game with Darren Gibson and Tom Cleverly taking the scoreline to 4-1.

Before Canadian Dwayne de Rosario could notch a consolation in the dying moments of the match, the Mexican fans in the crowd relish the moment they had been waiting for the whole night when Hernandez scored his first goal for the Manchester United.
