Rooney served two-match suspension by The FA
LONDON: The star striker of Manchester United Wayne Rooney has been banned for two matches by The FA for using abusive language in their last outing against Sunderland on Saturday.
Wayne Rooney scored a brilliant hat-trick in that match and helped his team to win the match by 4-2 after trailing with 2-0 at one stage. This is a major setback for Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United as Red Devils due to take on Manchester City on April 16 in semi final of FA Cup.
This charge relates to an incident during his side’s fixture with West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday 2 April 2011.
Rooney has until 6pm on 5 April to respond to the charge.
