Super Berbatov keeps United on top

LONDON: Dimitar Berbatov showed his class yet again as Manchester United extended their unbeaten run to 22 matches at the Barclays English Premier League here Saturday.

Berbatov struck the hat-trick which helped the Red Devils to defeat Birmingham City with a huge margin of 5-0 and took them two points clear of Arsenal with one lesser game played.

Birmingham City’s ambitions of rattling the Sir Alex Ferguson’s team died very early in the match with Berbatov struck the first of his three goals of the evening on a Ryan Giggs’s corner kick.

Berbatov made it 2-0 just half an hour later with a beautiful pass by Wayne Rooney.

Ryan Giggs scored the third one after a beautiful move by Berbatov and Rooney which bamboozled the Birmingham City’s defence line.

Berbatov completed his hat-trick in the second half to make it 4-0 in favor of the Red Devils.

The last goal of the match came from Nani who finished the rout with a strike just 14 minutes before the final whistle.
