Uncertainty over MUFC future disappoints Rooney

LONDON: Manchester United FC’s (MUFC) for the time being controversial and in the news forward Wayne Rooney has finally told the media his basic reason for leaving the apex club in the game of football.

The Liverpool born has basically put forth his concern as an argument or reason for leaving the club. According to the 24- year old MUFC does not now has the capability to attract and hire world class top players in the future which definitely raises concerns about what and who will be in the future squad of the club.

Rooney has told his manager Sir Alex Ferguson that ambiguity lies in the future of the club as it is not in a position to hire top players which will bring down the club rankings and make it an ordinary club of usual players.

The forward position striker said that he met with David Gill, Chief Executive of the club last week and in the meeting asked him to remove his concerns but unfortunately he wasn’t able to give any assurances and confirmations regarding the future squad adding that it was then he told that he is not in position to renew the contract.

Rooney is of the view that whets important is that you win trophies and keep on doing that, MUFC has been doing so under the awesome managerial capabilities of the genius Sir Alex.

Rooney is also concerned along with others including the fans of the club about the Glazer’s family poor handling of the club affairs as under their rule the club has reached a gross debt of 522 million pounds whereas the owners have also refused to further fund the club.

According to Rooney’s latest comments he respects the Scottish Legendary manager Sir Alex because he believes that he owes the man a huge debt since its is the great Alex who taught him and mentored him all the way from the very age of 18 when he left Everton for Manchester United.

Above all what Rooney has said he still is of the view that if there are no top world class players in the side winning games and scoring trophies is genuinely difficult otherwise he wishes to carry on his game with MUFC under the one and only most experienced supervision of Sir Alex. Wayne Rooney’s contract will expire in June 2012 about which the striker has decided not to renew it.
