We are still in title race: Terry

LONDON: Chelsea skipper John Terry is still positive about his team’s chances in the English Premier League (EPL) and hopeful that his team will defend its title successfully.

Terry believes that Blues are still the best in the country despite of the horrible form in the recent time as Carlo Ancelotti team have won only two matches in their last 10 outings and trailing by nine points at the points table from the chart leader Red Devils.

“It has been a difficult few weeks but we have to put it behind us. We are the Double winners and the best team in the country. With the quality of football we know we are capable of, it is up to us to start winning games again. Let’s go on a run of winning games and show our determination, hunger and fight to win this league again,” Terry said.

Chelsea lost to Arsenal last week which further affected their position on the points table.

“We were all hurting after losing to Arsenal last week. We weren’t ready to accept that and we don’t want to experience it again. But the league is still really open at the moment. Teams above us are dropping points. And we still have to play Manchester United twice and have a game in hand on Manchester city, too”, he added.
